* Ask for the food to be prepared in less or no oil. Also request for everything to be cooked in extra virgin olive oil.

* Ask for homemade dressings instead of the bottled ones. Those have preservatives, artificial flavoring and also lots of sugar.

Diet Tips - Traveling

* Carry your favorite tea bags, honey, stevia, soymilk powder or whatever it is you like, in your handbag so you have healthy option of beverages wherever you are.

 * Carry little containers of raw superfood powders such as hemp protein, maca, raw chocolate, etc. (you can order these on the internet) so you can make your healthy fruit shakes in the hotel whenever you need a snack. I also carry a blender with me but you can ask the room service to have it blended for you.

* Always read the labels of whatever you are buying. Whatever words sound like an alien language to you, avoid buying such products. You don’t want all these chemicals in your body!

Most of you would think that I’m this disciplined person who must be having a very good self-control, right? Well, you’d be wrong. Even I can’t help temptation and sometimes I give into the call from the dark side. However, I know myself well enough and so I developed these few tricks that help me from falling into the ditch.

Keep the objects of desire at a safe distance from the salivating taste buds.

Once your teeth have dug into the weapons of mass construction, there is no looking back and you will be seeking these objects like a vampire following its innocent prey.

Diet Tips-Improve your digestion

* Do not combine proteins and carbohydrates at one meal but eat them separately and always accompanied by lot of vegetables and salad. 

* To make your meal easy to digest and save that extra energy, eat only one type of protein per meal. Protein is very hard to digest and combining different protein sources (for example eggs with chicken or cheese with meat) will slow down the digestion process.

Diet Tips

* Start your day with fresh fruits, fruit smoothie or green smoothie. This is the healthiest breakfast ever! Fruits eaten first thing in the morning have a great cleansing affect on your body and support elimination of toxins.

* Have a big raw vegetable salad with every meal! Raw vegetables have the highest content of healthy fibre and enzymes in them. Fibre is very beneficial for your health and for keeping your colon clean and enzymes are the catalyst for every chemical reaction in your body!

Diet Tips - Cooking

* Cook only on non-stick surfaces so you don’t have to use much oil. The best is to add healthy unsaturated oil only after cooking.

* Avoid frying and deep-frying your food. The best way to prepare food is by steaming, stir-frying, baking or grilling.
