Green smoothies

Green smoothie is one of the best ways to start your day. It is filling, alkalizing, tasty and so simple to make! Just mix some green leaf veggies with a bit of fruit to add some sweeter taste and you’ve got it! My favorite mix is spinach (kale) and a bit of banana blended with coconut water (plain mineral water is good too). Love the green color!

Raw Humus

This humus, taste fantastic and it’s full of enzymes and nutrients as nothing gets destroyed in the process of cooking, cause this is raw!

Blend all ingredients in a blender;

3 cups sprouted chickpeas

1/2 cup tahini

1/2 cup lemon juice

2 large cloves garlic

1/2 tsp. cumin

1/2 tsp. cayenne

1 tsp. oregano

1 tsp. paprika

1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds (optional)

I love this humus too much! I use it as a dip with veggie sticks, or on whole-grain bread, or dilute it and use it as a salad dressing. And this is a perfect party food and no one needs to know it’s raw! Let your friends taste it, before revealing it’s actually healthy for them! What I love about raw is, that you can eat a big quantity of food but you will never put on weight from it!

ALMOND MILK

This is the best substitute for Diary milk! You can make this from any type of nuts or seeds.

½ cup of almonds, soaked overnight, rinsed, and drained

1 ½ cups of purified water

2 to 3 dates, pitted (optional)

¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)

1) Put all ingredients in a high-power blender and blend until smooth.

2) Strain the milk by using a very fine strainer, a cloth mesh bag or a double layer of cheesecloth. Save the pulp for other recipes.

3) Serve at room temperature, chilled or slightly warmed up below 130 F as that would destroy the nutrients and enzymes!!!!

You can use this milk for anything that you would use diary milk for. It’s great with cereals or in a smoothie. Instead of dates, you can also use raw honey or other natural sweeteners such as Raw Agave Nectar or Stevia.

Store the milk in a sealed glass jar in a fridge for up to 4 days. The left over pulp you can use in breads, cookies, croutons…
